This is the first entry in my brand new blog. I'm not an Iraqi reporting on the conditions in a country undergoing massive reconstruction and political upheaval (http://healingiraq.blogspot.com); (http://riverbendblog.blogspot.com), for I live in Canada and have no need to give the world a new perspective on Canadian life that the media may be hiding for one reason or another.

I am a student at McGill University in Montreal, and despite the fact that political activities are banned on our campus for some strange reason, it is a campus filled with considerable debate and a fair share of scandals. Since this is my first post and I am short on time, I will leave it at that. Political demonstrations banned at McGill University, the Harvard of the north? How could it be??
