The Big Apple
Tragedy: free internet access at Columbia but limited time with the parents waiting outside. Bah!
The campus is as beautiful as thought, and the School of Journalism's building is pretty impressive as well. International and Public Affairs reminds me too much of Leacock, although it's a little nicer.
We've hit up all the big name NYC landmarks over the past three days and were able to see 'The Producers' on Broadway on Tuesday night. Everything's expensive here, and the people generally dress to impress. Very classy city on the whole - althought this perception may be somewhat influenced by the area in which we're spending most of our time - midtown/uptown. Visited my mom's old stomping grounds up in 208th street this morning and then made our way down to Columbia for lunch on main campus. There are bread beverage tents selling fresh baked goods and fresh, cold apple cider - very refreshing on a warm, sunny day like this.
Gotta go - look forward to grad in a few days and hope everyone is well back in MTL.
See you on the 30th or later.
